need advice: best digital voice recorder?

Hi everyone!

i'm looking to ditch my old microcassette recorder and go digital for doing interviews, but I'm perplexed by what's out there.

i bought an olympus digital recorder but it sucked so I returned it. i tried using an ipod which was way better but it was sorta clumsy so I'm not convinced that's the way to go either. i don't want to use minidiscs or DAT, because i'm trying to get away from having storage media littering up my life.

what do you use? the perfect thing must be out there somewhere...

Thanks!

hi, i use creative zen nano plus...its a nice multitasker - a 1 gb usb stick, a voice recorder, an mp3 player and radio...its always better in my opinion to record digitally, and since its also a usb stick, i can come back to my comp and transfer on my hard drive...at some point, when i have enough content, i burn it all onto a cd...its the size of a matchbox and cost me about 120 euros in belgium...

dont know if they have the same product in US, but guess the market is aflood with similar devices
